Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, has applauded the outgoing Principal Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Most Rev. Prof. Miracle Ajah, for what he described as six years of outstanding leadership, unwavering integrity, and dedicated service to the Church and humanity.

The Governor's message was delivered by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, FNSE, during the Sendoff Thanksgiving Service held in honour of Most Rev. Prof. Ajah at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN) Ehere Model Parish in Aba on Sunday.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Otti, the Deputy Governor congratulated the respected cleric on successfully completing a tenure that strengthened the Church's administrative structure, promoted unity among members, and advanced the work of evangelism across the country.

He described Most Rev. Prof. Ajah as a visionary leader whose commitment, humility, discipline, and dedication to God's work earned him the admiration of both the Church and the wider society.

Governor Otti also commended the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria for its enduring contributions to moral development, education, and nation-building, while appreciating the Church for maintaining its headquarters in Abia State. He reiterated his administration's commitment to partnering with religious institutions in fostering peace, good governance, and sustainable development.

According to the Governor, effective leadership is measured not by the number of years spent in office but by the lasting impact made on people, institutions, and society.

Delivering the day's exhortation, the Prelate and Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Most Rev. Dr. Ekpenyong Akpanika, paid glowing tribute to Most Rev. Prof. Ajah, describing him as a faithful, humble, and diligent servant of God whose stewardship reflected excellence and commitment.

He reminded ministers and Christian leaders that positions are temporary and should be seen as opportunities to serve God and humanity. Citing William Shakespeare's famous assertion that "all the world's a stage," he encouraged believers to focus on leaving behind legacies of integrity, sacrifice, and meaningful service.

In his response, Most Rev. Prof. Miracle Ajah expressed gratitude to God for granting him the grace and strength to successfully complete his assignment as Principal Clerk. He also thanked Governor Alex Otti, the leadership of the Presbyterian Church, members of the General Assembly Executive Committee, ministers, elders, family members, friends, donors, and all those who supported him throughout his tenure.

One of the major highlights of the colourful thanksgiving celebration was the presentation of a 2019/2020 Toyota Highlander SUV to the outgoing Principal Clerk in recognition of his exceptional service and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.

The event drew an impressive gathering of dignitaries, including the President of the Abia State Leadership Academy and immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, senior government officials, church leaders, traditional rulers, captains of industry, and members of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.

The thanksgiving service served not only as a celebration of the successful completion of Most Rev. Prof. Miracle Ajah's six-year tenure but also as a tribute to a remarkable legacy of faith, visionary leadership, and selfless service that will continue to inspire generations within and beyond the Presbyterian Church.
