NDDC Opens Applications for 2026/2027 Foreign Master’s Scholarship Programme

The Federal Government, through the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has officially announced the commencement of applications for its Foreign Master’s Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The announcement was made on Monday via the Commission’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, accompanied by a public notice inviting qualified candidates to apply.
According to the NDDC, the application portal opened on March 23, 2026, and will remain accessible until April 19, 2026.
The scholarship initiative is aimed at empowering young Nigerians from the Niger Delta region with advanced academic training and specialized skills. Beneficiaries of the programme are expected to contribute meaningfully to the local content development agenda while remaining competitive in the global workforce.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
Prospective applicants must possess a minimum of a second-class upper-division degree or a first-class honors degree from a recognized institution. Additionally, candidates must not be older than 40 years at the time of application.
