Former African champions Enyimba FC of Aba suffered another setback in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday after losing 1-0 at home to newly promoted Inter Lagos.

Ezekiel Moses scored the decisive goal in the 18th minute to hand Inter Lagos all three points in Aba.

The result extended Enyimba’s winless run to four matches at the start of the new NPFL season.

The Aba-based club had previously suffered 2-0 defeats against Niger Tornadoes and Doma United before Sunday's loss to Inter Lagos.

While Enyimba endured another disappointing result, Abia Warriors provided some relief for Abia football with an impressive 2-0 away win over Sporting Lagos.

The Umuahia-based side secured all three points in the Matchday 4 encounter, with the official NPFL results confirming the 2-0 scoreline.

The contrasting results leave Enyimba searching for their first victory of the new campaign, while Abia Warriors continue their season with an important away win.
