Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, FNSE, has congratulated former deputy governor of the state, Dr Chris Akomas, on the occasion of his 66th birthday.

Akomas, who currently serves as the National Chairman of the Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria, was described by Emetu as a distinguished public servant whose contributions to Abia State and Nigeria remain noteworthy.

In his birthday message, the Deputy Governor acknowledged Akomas’ contributions during his tenure in government and his continued commitment to public service.

Emetu also commended Akomas for his leadership of the Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria, noting that the platform provides an avenue for former deputy governors to share their experiences and insights in support of good governance and national development.

He said the experience of former public office holders could contribute to strengthening governance and advancing the development of the country when properly harnessed.

Emetu prayed that God would grant Akomas renewed strength, good health and wisdom, while blessing him with many more years of meaningful service to humanity.

The Deputy Governor wished the former Abia deputy governor a joyful birthday celebration and continued success in the years ahead.
